My dad took all these - probably why they turned out so good :)

For Grammy...

Oliver is one!
and in typical Layna slacker style we didn't roll out the red carpet or anything like that...we just had a little family birthday party for Ollie and Bella - who were both sick and miserable. But it made for some pretty funny pictures - like Oliver crying as we sang happy birthday. They did have some fun times in the bath after the festivities were over. On Ollie's actual birthday we broke out the cake again (the same cake cause he didn't touch it at the party!) hoping for the classic picture of cake smeared all over his face but I guess he just doesn't like blue dye #40. I suppose that's a good thing. Anyway here are the pictures we did get!

Oliver's first Christmas (and Chanukah, but we didn't get any pictures of him eating a latke)

There's no place like home! (or like Kansas!)
I'm a such a slacker and so behind on this blog it's ridiculous. Oh well. Anyway, Oliver and I went to Lawrence Kansas for his Great Grammy's 85th birthday! It was very cold for him but fun for me because I got to dress him up in big jackets that he would otherwise never get to wear! And he had a great time getting to know his great-gramma as well as the rest of the family and his 2nd cousin (or cousin twice removed or once removed or however that works). Here are some of my favorite pics although there were many great ones!

The Giraffe and the Dragon!
Halloween has always been one of my very favorite holidays (large amount of candy consumption, planning and creating of the costume, and large amounts of alcohol consumption typically in the Castro!) but now it's even more fun because I've substituted the drinking with dressing up a baby! And it's really just as much fun if not more! (well okay, I still had a glass of wine as well). Anyway, here are some great pictures of Ollie as a dragon and a couple shots with his gorgeous cousin, Annabel, as a giraffe. Note that Oliver is crying because it's actually the day after halloween, a million degrees outside, and he hasn't napped. Still, how cute are they?
